God Works in Mysterious Ways

God Works in Mysterious Ways (Patrick Leung)

This photo reminded me of the time when I was new to the church. I was still unsure if I would be committed to staying at TEC as I was at the time what some call “church shopping”. I was asked to assist with photo-taking at the church ground-breaking event on Oct 7, 2012. When I got to the site, I realized how big the area was, and it was during this time that I learned of the Vintage Garden master plan, not just simply putting up a church building. Furthermore, I learned that Dr. Lee had planned to build a Life Lease residential community, with TEC at the center to serve seniors. I thought to myself, TEC has a clear goal to serve God’s people, no matter their stage in life, and this was one of many moments I felt I wanted to be part of this church.

God works in mysteries ways — it may be as simple as asking to take photographs; to document the moment. As long as you are willing to lend an ear, you will hear His words and open your eyes to His work. We should give thanks to all the blessings that He has provided and His plan for us.

Philippians 2:4 “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”
